November Spotlight: Getting Fit!

Margaret in the pool Margaret Fadero is reserved. Her voice is soft. When spoken to, she looks away for a moment. But when her eyes return, she lights up with a smile before delivering her answer. Especially when she is asked to talk about some of her favorite activities.
"I like basketball and soccer," Margaret says.
Margaret has attended The Arc's Largo Center since 2004. She is one of 30 individuals participating in the new Adult Fitness Program run by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) at the North Brentwood Community Center. This unique program introduces a variety of fitness activities including biking, swimming, aerobics, weightlifting and various team sports.

The Arc and Resource Connections jointly sponsored the meeting. For further information contact Karen Oliver at 301-925-7050, ext. 245.
