| AUGUST IS FAMILY FUN MONTH! | | |
Did you know that spending time together as a family:
...is associated with greater emotional bonding within the family? ...contributes to children's academic success?
...is linked to fewer behavioral issues with adolescents; such as violence, substance abuse and emotional distress?
Different Ways To Spend Family Time Together:
- Decide together which activities and games to play
- Attend family gym activities at the Y on Sunday afternoons
- Read aloud together
- Plan a sports outing and support your local teams
- Go camping or hiking
- Bake or cook together
- Take opportunities as they appear; If your child asks to go for a walk or play a game, try to make time
- Set aside a specific time for family time and make it a priority
