| IMPACT MAGAZINE | | |
Have you received your copy of IMPACT, the Y's new magazine? You probably received one in the mail recently and we hope you will hang onto it because, in the middle of the magazine, you'll find a pull-out Program Catalog that lists the descriptions and locations of all spring and summer Y programs.
Use the Program Catalog together with the Program Schedules that you'll find online on our branch website or, simply click on this link. The Program Schedules list all the program specifics like: dates, times, ages, locations, and registration.
Do you have a wonderful Y story about how the Y has had an impact in your life? Do you want your story to be featured in IMPACT? Email letters@peninsulaymca.org , include your name, contact information and tell us your story. IMPACT will be published three times a year. |
| AN ACTION-PACKED HEALTHY DAY FOR KIDS! | |
Make sure you mark your calendar and bring the family for Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 9, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Healthy Kids Day is an action-packed national YMCA event designed to promote healthy living and activities. The entire Y will be filled with fun things to do! Bring your bike for a bike check, participate in Aqua Zumba and a Hip-Hop class. Pool activities, martial arts demonstration, games, educational information, and free healthy snacks wil be offered, too.
T-shirts will be given to the first 100 kids after they complete the program survey. It will be a fun day for all so make sure to be there! |
| HELPING OUR COMMUNITY | | |
STRONG COMMUNITIES
Did you know that the YMCA is a charitable organization? Your contributions do many things to help those in need.
- $80 provides a child with one week of quality child care
- $150 provides one child a complete back-to-school Bright Beginnings experience
- $250 allows youth and teens opportunities to develop leadership and social skills through sports and teen programming
- $500 teaches ten children life-saving skills through swim lessons
- $1000 helps provide families the benefit of Y membership
NATASHA HOUSE
The Victory Y is collecting items to put in Easter baskets for adults at Natasha House, a women's shelter in York County. Please donate personal care items, Easter candy, movie cards and dining gift cards. We are also collecting for the children: stuffed bunnies, ducks or lambs; chocolate bunnies, and books are needed.
For more information about either of these contact Donna Blake, Community Development Director, at (757) 867-3300 x 212 or donna.blake@peninsulaymca.org.

| RENOVATIONS ARE UNDERWAY | |
If you noticed the sound of drills, hammers, and the appearance of construction in the area, then you are witnessing the begining of Phase 1 of our renovation project!
Demolition of existing office space on our east side is making way for two new large multi-purpose rooms, a new 600+ foot spinning (cycling) room and more. For more updates ask the staff at the Welcome Center!
