 Celebrating Our Caring Community

Strong CommunitiesThe Victory Family YMCA celebrated the Strong Community fundraising campaign with an awards ceremony on March 30.   We had a great time giving out prizes to our top campaigners/storytellers.

Although we have met staff and board goals, we still are a little short of our member involvement goal. Contributions are needed to send a child to camp this summer and for many other outreach programs.  If you receive a call from one of our teen volunteers during the phone-a-thon please consider making a donation.

If you would like more information about our campaign and programs offered through donations please feel free to contact Donna Blake, Community Development Director, at (757) 867-3300 x 212 or donna.blake@peninsulaymca.org

Thank you for all that have given and thank you to all of our campaigners. We would especially like to congratulate our top fundraiser, Sarah Bryant!

Quote-of-the-Month for Kids

Each month we'll feature a new quote for you to discuss with your children. The next time you bring them to the Y, they can talk with any of our department directors about the meaning of the quote for the month. All participants receive a small prize for their efforts.

The quote for April is:

"No person has ever been honored for what he received.  Honor is our reward for what we give."
