Give Us Your Feedback - Win a FREE Month

Here at the Victory Family YMCA we want to know what we can do to make your YMCA even better.

On April 20, 2010 you will receive our email survey. The results of the survey will be used to improve our service, program offerings and operations. Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a drawing to win one free month of membership. Please look for the survey and plan to participate - we want to know your opinions.

As a result of past suggestions, recent additions and improvements include the new family area "The Zone", more exercise classes, expanded Saturday hours, additional parking, "Women on Weights" program and many other features.

Help us continue to make the Victory Family YMCA the very best; we are ready to act on your suggestions!

Teaching Children "NOT" to Smoke
 no smoking
Although the dangers of smoking are well-known it is an unfortunate fact that some teenagers become hooked on cigarettes at an early age.  "Not on Tobacco" (NOT) is a smoking-cessation program designed to help teens break the habit.

The benefits of a non-smoking lifestyle are emphasized in this class, which is sponsored by the American Lung Association.

Teens meet weekly for eight weeks beginning on Monday, April 12 from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. You may register your teen at the Welcome Center.

Quote-of-the-Month for Kids

Each month we'll feature a new quote for you to discuss with your children. The next time you bring them to the Y, they can talk with any of our department directors about the meaning of the quote for the month. All participants receive a small prize for their efforts.

The quote for April is:

"Profit is what we have left after we make

A donation to a worthwhile cause."
