Our members spoke and we listened.  We know that keeping your New Year's resolution is important and we are even more ready to help you with that. Take a look at our new offerings in 2010:
 
 
ALL NEW - Youth and Family Wellness Center -
Opening February 2010
(located in the Teen Room loft)
  • Open for ages 10 & up
  • 5 pieces of strength equipment
  • 2 LifeFitness Bikes
  • 1 Row Machine
  • Youth ages 10 & up may utilize without adult supervision
  • Structured teen circuit times will be available
  • Family fitness times will be available
  • Active Older Adults circuit classes will be offered
 
Wellness Area Improvements
Youth ages 12-15 are welcome (see Youth Guidelines for details)
  • Free Wellness Center Orientations to get you used to the equipment and on a fitness program specifically designed for you
  • Follow up phone calls after your orientation to ensure you had the best experience possible
  • "Next Card" system to reserve cardio equipment
  • Fitness Buddies program to help find a workout partner
  • Increased Wellness Center staff to provide more assistance
  • The latest and greatest new fitness equipment, including:
  • iPod compatible exercise bikes
  • 17 new Treadmills
  • 18 new Elliptical Cross Trainers
  • 7 new Bikes
  • 2 new Biodex Biosteps (seated Ellipticals)
  • 1 new Precor AMT
  • 1 new Concept 2 Row Machine
 
Group Exercise Classes
  • More beginner classes offered
  • Tai Chi returns March 2010
  • Increased number of cycling classes
  • Increased number of yoga classes
  • Kidz Fit classes for 8-12 year olds
  • Additional room for group exercise and personal training
 
 
Aquatics
  • Added 183 extra swim lessons, to serve more members
  • Lap swimming offered all day
  • Increased Open Recreation Swim times
  • Increased number of Water Aerobics classes
  • New Aqua Blast Water Aerobics class (high intensity class)
 
Child Watch/Youth Watchchildwatch
  • Increased to 2 hour time limit per visit
  • Child Watch open for ages 6 weeks - 5 years
  • New designed Youth Watch room for ages 5-9
  • Car-side service offered to help parents carry their "valuables" to the car
  • Weekly scheduled activities in Youth Watch (including arts and crafts, Wii tournaments and Tony Hawk Ride Events)
  • Homework Help for children in Youth Watch
 
Teen Room
Open for ages 10 and up
  • 2 XR Boards (Snowboard, Skateboard and Surf Indoors) - Coming in February 2010!
  • Dance Dance Revolution Arcade Game - Coming in February 2010!
  • Structured family activities and tournaments with great prizes
  • Ping pong, air hockey, foosball, Wii and many other games
 
Family
  • FREE Monthly Family Fun Nights
