Family-Friendly Fun Coming in 2010 
Are you asking "What can my family do at the Y?"
"Family" is our middle name here at the Victory Family YMCA and fun is what we are all about. We listened to your ideas and are bringing you "The Zone," a youth, teen and family fitness area with lots to do.
Scheduled events include table tennis and pool tournaments and Guitar Hero World Tour tournaments, as well as much more.
On Sunday afternoons, bring your family in for activities in the gym including volleyball, dodgeball, obstacle courses and other fun activities for all to enjoy.

Lose Weight and Feel Great with 10-10-10!
Join us for a great challenge and opportunity to lose 10 pounds in 10 weeks. The entry fee is only $10. Those who meet the challenge receive a "10-10-10" T-shirt and are entered in a drawing for a one-month free membership.
Registration for the 10-10-10 event is January 2, 2010 through February 19, 2010 at the Welcome Center. If you miss the initial weigh-in on January 11th and 12th you can still enter the contest at anytime. The final weigh-in is March 15th and 16th. PDF

Nutrition Seminar Can Lead to Weight Loss

Are you interested in losing weight and learning more about how healthy nutrition can make a difference in the quality of your life? If so then sign up for a 30-minute nutrition consultation with Emily Hughes, registered dietician from Mary Immaculate Hospital. This event will be held on Wednesday, January 6 and 20th between the hours of 5:30-8:00 pm. Please register at the Welcome Center. A $30 fee will apply. Study theTimeless Skills of Martial Arts
 Learn the centuries-old skills of martial arts and self defense here at the Victory Family YMCA. Our program features practical self defense and basic physical skills such as kicks, blocks, escapes, throws, ground maneuvers, joint locks, holds and much more. URL
Head instructor, Larry King, and assisting instructors are internationally certified by Sai Nippon Butoku Kai. Instructors and students have participated in many local, national and international events.

Victory Teen Corner
 Middle School Teen Nights:
Join us for planned MSTN on January 23 and 30 from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Activities include open basketball, dodgeball, wallyball, racquetball, climbing wall, and dancing. The Teen Room will be open for activities as well. Cost: YMCA members: $3, Program Participants: $5.
Teen Board Positions:
The Victory YMCA is looking for a teen to serve on the YMCA Board of Directors. This person will represent the teens in the community and speak on their behalf at Board Meetings. These meetings occur the fourth Tuesday of each month from 7:30-8:40 a.m.
Teen Room Focus Group:
Teens, we want your input! Voice your opinion about the "look and feel" of the Teen Room in an open meeting on January 16th at noon. Anyone who is in middle or high school is invited to attend.
