Need a little extra help with that New Year's fitness resolution? Then sign up for our 10-10-10 fitness contest! This is a win-win-win situation. Not only will you be healthier after losing 10 pounds in 10 weeks, but you will get a special YMCA t-shirt to show off your effort. You can also feel better knowing that a portion of your $10 registration fee goes towards the Strong Communities campaign. Sign up at the Welcome Center beginning on January 2nd and the initial weigh-ins begin on January 8th.

Fun for the entire family
Got the winter doldrums? Then pack up the kids and bring everyone to the YMCA for Family Fun Night on Friday, January 16th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Lots of activities will be available including swimming, volleyball, line dancing (Zumba), Drums Alive, Family Yoga and even board games! There is no charge for this event. It is a great way to have some family fun and to try something different!

Important Tips for Lifelong Wellness
Continuing education is important for all adults, especially information that can assist you in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The YMCA is offering two wellness classes loaded with helpful information.
"Exercising for the Health of It" is a 45-minute lecture that will be held on Tuesday, January 20th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Multi-purpose Room. Our Community Wellness Director, Franki Pivarnik, will provide general exercise information and weight management tips. There is no charge and no registration.
"Wellness for Life" is a four-week class designed to address nutritional, exercise and wellness needs for the health seeker. Here you will learn to make positive wellness choices. The class runs for four Saturdays from January 24th through February 14th at 11:00 a.m. The cost is $25 . You may register at the Welcome Center beginning January 3rd.

Middle School Teen Nights in February
Middle School Teen Night will start up again on February 7th from 7:00 pm-11:00 pm and will run every Saturday thereafter.
Teen Night is a time for York County middle school teens to network, grow socially, and participate in various activities in a safe environment.
Activities can include basketball, wallyball, dodge ball, pool, air hockey, Guitar Hero, table tennis, and climbing the rock wall. Please have school I.D.s handy.
Cost: Members $2, Program Participants $4
