Victory YMCA Gets Moving with America!
YMCAs nationwide are inspiring families and individuals of all ages to adopt healthy lifestyles by taking small steps.
Our YMCA is joining YMCAs across the country in tracking the number of participants and "steps" taken in our communities with a goal of collectively reaching 10 billion steps. You can be a part of this effort to get Americans moving.
To join in on tracking your steps during Activate America week, visit www.ymca.net and click on the America On the Move Week with the YMCA icon. Follow the directions to register and when prompted, please enter group code #6764. Link |

Fall Teen Activities Are Here!
September presents a number of programs for Teens needing something to do after going back to school.
After School Club: Students from Grafton and Tabb can participate in the Middle School After School Club. Teens are bussed to the YMCA and are provided a snack as they begin their homework. Games and activities in the gym and teen room allow teens to grow socially while exercising the YMCA's core values: honesty, responsibility, caring, and respect.
Teen Nights: Every Saturday night, during the Fall and Spring seasons, the YMCA opens its doors at 7:00PM to all Middle School students. During this time, teens are allowed access to the Gym, Teen Room, Rock Wall, and the Pool where they are allowed to interact and grow socially in a safe environment. Teens participate in everything from basketball to our Dance Dance Revolution game in our Teen Room. Keeping Teens off the street and keeping them active in a safe environment is the main focus of this program. On a typical Teen Night, we average 150 Teens!
Leader's Club: YMCA Leaders Club provides teens with community volunteer opportunities while teaching valuable leadership skills. The program places importance on academics, fitness, and living the YMCA character development values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Leader's Club members also participate in events where Teens network with fellow Teen Leader's and grow in the mission of the YMCA.
For more information about Teen Activities, please contact Kris Titus, Teen Director, at 867-3300 x217.
