Greetings Friends!
 It has been fun to see the transformation in our garden center over the past 3 weeks. The piles of boxes and pallets of product that crowded the warehouse have been turned into beautiful displays of spring gardening merchandise. The store has been filled with the familiar faces of customers not seen since Christmas looking to see "what's new?" Our greenhouse is filled with colorful pansies and violas. The lot is stocked with shrubs and trees. The first shipment of cold crop veggies and herbs arrived a day ago. Seed potatoes, onion sets and packets of seeds have been flying out the door. It was the first Good Friday in several years where you could have actually planted your potatoes.
Everyone seems to have a smile on their face and an eagerness to get their hands dirty! I am not just talking customers; our staff is practically bursting at the seams to get the season started. So, I will quit going on and on about spring. You know it's here. Come on in - let's start gardening! |

Congratulations! Barb B. - you are last month's trivia question winner. What fruit was determined by a US Supreme Court ruling in 1893 to be a vegetable so it could be taxed under tariff laws? Answer: tomato. (Yes, a tomato is technically a fruit. It has had a bad rap all these years thanks to the Supreme Court!)
