News Flash...This Just In...
Epidemic levels of cabin fever are being reported across the state.  The CDC is recommending that all able-bodied citizens report to their nearest garden center to receive immediate treatment for this rampant strain of fever.  (Isn't it amazing what the first 60 degree day does to us?)

One of the most effective reliefs for spring fever is pansies!   THEY HAVE ARRIVED!  We just received our first shipment of blooming pansies, TODAY!  The colors and the smell are simply wonderful.  Stop in today to see, smell and touch SPRING!
Don't Miss our Seed Starting Seminar!

Seed Packets
Join us -  Saturday, March 20th from 10-11am or Tuesday, March 23rd from 6-7pm.  The seminar is FREE.  Our guest speaker is Greg Reynolds of Riverbend Farm, Delano.

Greg and his wife, Mary, own and operate Riverbend Farm, a small organic vegetable farm in Delano. They grow about 20,000 vegetable transplants every year that produce 10 acres of vegetables and fruit. Riverbend sells to local independent restaurants in the Twin Cities, their own CSA, and the local natural food co-ops. This past fall they started selling produce to the Hopkins School District for their school lunch program.

The seminar will cover everything from when to start seeds to transplanting your new plants into your garden.

Greg really knows how to grow! Come and learn from a farmer on how to grow your own.

U$ele$$ Trivia
Question mark
Congratulations! Pam B. - you are last month's trivia question winner. Who wrote the oldest known Valentine and in what year was it sent?  Answer: It was written by the Duke of Orleans to his French wife while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London in 1415 A.D.

This month's question has nothing to do with anything...hence the name U$ele$$ Trivia!  What fruit was determined by a US Supreme Court ruling in 1893 to be a vegetable so it could be taxed under tariff laws?

Good luck!  Email your answer to us.  This month's winner will receive a $50 Otten Bros. gift card.
