Greetings!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our wonderful customers and friends!

It seems that the time flies by all  too quickly.   It won't be long before our greenhouse will again be filled with blooming pansies, signaling the start of spring.  Our spring crop of geraniums are already growing in our Flower Farm greenhouses.  There is a lot of cold and snow between then and now - but let's try not to think about that.

I would, however, like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you on behalf of all the staff at Otten Bros. and The Flower Farm.  We truly appreciate your loyal business and friendships.  We look forward to serving you in 2010.

The question: name the author of the oldest cookbook known that contains stuffing recipes?  Answer: Apicius (He was a Roman who lived around the 2nd century BC to the 1st century AD. His cookbook 'Apicius de re Coquinaria', had recipes for stuffed chicken, hare, pig, and even stuffed dormouse - YUCK!)

This month's question has to do with decorating.   Can you tell me who was the first US President to put up a real Christmas tree IN the White house?
