Looking for extra income? Interested in teaching small groups from your home? Just can't get the storytelling technique right? Join our Seminars to gain or refresh your skills. Learn how to teach English to small groups of Hebrew speakers, or to any size groups of English speakers.
We are happy to invite you to join A.H.A.V.A.'s Summer 2012
teacher training courses. We have set dates for four courses this summer, in July and August, dependent of course, on a minimum number of registrants.

Hebrew Speakers
Teaching Hebrew Speakers
to speak English (offered twice this summer)  A comprehensive 3 day/15 hour course provides you with practical skills and knowledge to improve your teaching and/or help you initiate small group learning in your area, for Hebrew speaking students. You will learn how to run small group sessions to teach nursery - 6th grade children how to speak in English.
Come to hear about techniques such as story telling, games, songs and more.
Every participant will receive a curriculum booklet and a tape/CD of songs used alongside the curriculum.

Teaching the Young English Speaker(offered twice this summer)

A 3 day/15 hour course provides you with A.H.A.V.A.'s comprehensive K - 10th grade curriculum. Learn practical skills and knowledge to improve your teaching.
 Learn how to teach the fundamentals as well as the creative. We start with how to teach reading, writing, spelling, and then continue with creative writing, English poetry andliterature. In addition you will hear about our special programs like the Readathon, our Academic Fair, visiting authors, and our Writing Contest. Every participant will receive a curriculum booklet which includes the outline of the course.

Each 15 hour course costs 400 NIS + 50 shekels registration fee. All courses includes relevant course materials, tea/coffee. Upon completion each attendee will receive a diploma.
