Fruit of the Books
When Sara, a Hebrew Speaker, stopped me at the supermarket I was
pleasantly surprised to hear that she wanted to congratulate A.H.A.V.A.
on doing such a great job for her daughter. "My daughter participated
in the Readathon. She did not win any prizes, nor did I even go with
her to the closing event. But she came back in such a good mood and
more importantly she is now willing to give English a chance. Her
participation in the Readathon gave her the confidence that she needed
to apply herself to her studies." Why not give your child this chance
as well? Encourage him or her to participate!

Our Youngest Donor
A Bat Mitzvah girl inquired as to the cost of one of this year's MP3
players that we are giving out as a prize. She heard the price and
promptly informed me that TWO of the MP3's would be covered by her
Bat Mitzvah Tzedakah money. In the past
she had benefited from the Readathon and appreciates its worth. We are proud to have her as one of our donors!
