Hi from everyone at PROVISIONS!  My favorite part of Summer is officially here - June Gloom.  I love the cool gray mornings.  As Aimee Benell our favorite pastry chef says, "it's perfect meringue weather."  And Aimee's meringue Pavlovas filled with lemon curd and topped with fresh berries were a huge hit at the second UNDERGROUND WINE TASTING DINNER.  Check out the pictures.
The UNDERGROUND DINNERS have taken on a life of their own - we are now organizing private Wine Dinners for our customers.  It has become a great way for people to entertain without having to foot the entire bill themselves.  You put together the guest list, and we'll do everything else.  We can also find a location for you if you don't want to entertain in your home!  And we even create the perfect play list and offer a CD of it as momento of the evening.

After all, why should you cook??!

Our second UNDERGROUND WINE TASTING DINNER was held in a stunning four story  Loft (pictured above)in the south facing wing of the former Southern California Edison Electric Power Station #3. The building itself was built in 1903 and is registered as a Historic Cultural Landmark by the City of Los Angeles.

A special thank you to photographers extraordinaire,  Rob Greer and Vanessa Stump for lending us their beautiful studio/loft.  Not only were they gracious hosts, but they both took amazing photos of our guests and the food!  Please check out their blogs to see these incredible pictures.
(see menu and wines below!)

The next dinner will be held in September - watch this space for more details.
