Spring is finally here, which means spring cleaning and allergies can't be far behind. If your house is on the market hopefully you've already made it "white glove" clean.
When Room Service Home Staging stages a house or provides a Home Staging Consultation high on our "Need to Do" list is a good thorough cleaning inside and out. You want buyers to focus on the architecture and "liveability" of your home or listing NOT future maintenance issues.

Helpful Cleaning Tips When Selling Your Home:

Windows- Part of what we're selling in Florida is the view.
Whether it's of the ocean, a canal, a sky blue pool or a lush tropical back yard. Besides having sparkling clean windows, I suggest in my Staging Consultations that my clients remove their screens as well. This lets even more light in and allows for an even sharper view.
For a good home made cleaning solution that's also environmentally friendly try mixing some cornstarch in with your vinegar, ammonia and warm water.
Roofs- First impressions are made before your buyer sets foot out of the car. And roofs are one of the more visible features of your house. Do you want your Buyer focusing on the cost of a new roof when a simple cleaning will make it look like new? Consider this product -Roof Reviver- which works on shingles, wood shake and barrel and concrete tile.
Landscaping- Granted you can't "clean" your landscaping but you can clean out your flower beds. In Florida where bushes and shrubs grow in the blink of an eye and can become leggy when not held in check, it is important to view each area with a critical eye. Remove plants that are no longer healthy. Get rid of those pesky weeds. Thin out the plants if everything has grown so close together that you can no longer tell where one plant stops and another begins. When this is done, add the finishing touch o f dark mulch.
