What is an ASP and why you should be working with one!

STAGING has been around for many years. On the west coast where Barb Schwarz, the creator of Home Staging, President and Founder of IAHSP &IAHSP Foundation and President & CEO of StagedHomes.com is based utilizing the services of a Staging professional is an accepted, if not expected, part of listing a home. As the industry has grown and spread east and south, more and more realtors and sellers are recognizing the advantages of selling a STAGED home. And, as such, there are many entering the STAGING profession. As in any field, how do you know whom to contact? Referrals are always important, however, for such an important investment, you'll also want to make sure they're an ASP. We've been trained under guidelines set forth by Barb herself; utilizing Staging techniques that she has developed for over 30 years. Our training did not take place over the Internet, but in a classroom setting culminating in the Staging of an actual home on the market.
Ongoing training and support are available from StagedHomes.com as well as continuing education via the ASP Masters program. More importantly, based on the wonderful group that I met in Bellevue, ASP's are dedicated, professional and really love what they do! So next time you are putting together your listing packet, don't forget a very special Value Added Service. . . that of an ASP Stager.

FAQ'S
What's the difference between using an Interior Designer and a Stager?
A Designer takes into consideration the personal tastes and wishes of their client; selecting furnishings, color, textures and accessories that will appeal to them and fit their lifestyle. Part of the STAGER'S focus, however, is in depersonalizing their clients' home; preparing it to appeal to as broad a range of potential buyers as possible. Color and furniture placement are geared to enhancing the square footage and "liveability" of a space, which is of utmost importance to the buyer.
