ECSLA to Use Social Media to Focus on Social Justice Ministries in our Diocese
Episcopal Community Services of Louisiana
Beginning October-- Let's start a conversation about hunger, children's education, prison reform, equality... Each month ECSLA will highlight a social justice issue and share stories of ministries in the Diocese of Louisiana working in that area. We will kick-off with Hunger.
How you can participate:
Add your voice We would love to hear your personal reflections and advice. Please also encourage your family and friends to join the conversation as well. The ECSLA Facebook page will be primary gathering spot but check out the following ways to participate.
Sharing Our Stories (A look at the outreach ministries in the Diocese of Louisiana) can be found on the ECSLA blog and ECSLA Facebook page. If you are a leader or a volunteer in one of the highlighted ministries, tell us more about what it means to the people you serve and to your congregation. (I will let you know ahead of time when the article about your ministry will be published).
Conversation Starters
Many can be found on the ECSLA Facebook page. We will share information from leading non-profits and other sources. Share your knowledge too. What have you learned through your experience of running or volunteering in a social justice ministry?
