STUDY BENEDICTINE SPIRITUALITY
St. James Center for Spiritual Formation Sunday Evening Lenten Series
On four Sundays in Lent - March 4, 11,18, and 25 - the Center for Spiritual Formation will offer a discussion of Benedictine spirituality. The group will read Heart Whispers: Benedictine Wisdom for Today by Elizabeth J. Canham. By exploring such topics as prayer, hospitality, manual labor, rest, and stability, Canham guides readers to cope with the stresses and complexities of their personal and professional lives by establishing a daily rhythm based on Benedictine practices. The group will meet in the parlor on Sunday afternoons at 5:45 p.m., following the 5:00 service. Ann Holmes will facilitate the discussion. | |
