Diocese of Western Louisiana's Bishop's Election Committee Names Seven Nominees

Today the list of candidates for the Diocese of Western Louisiana's Bishop's process was released to the public.  On that list is the Rev'd Canon Mark Stevenson, the Canon to the Ordinary in our Diocese.  This is not at all a surprise to me or anyone who knows Canon Stevenson.  While I have mixed feelings about the possibilities, one thing is clear, Mark is one of the finest priest I've known and a dear friend.

In the days and months to come I ask that you keep Mark and Joy in your prayers.  The process is grueling and demanding for those in the spot light.  Please remember also the Diocese of Western Louisiana in your prayers as they discern with the guidance of the Holy Spirit their next Bishop.

Learn about the Enneagram March 9 & 10 - Trinity NOLA

On March 9 and 10, Sandra Smith, M.Div, a certified Enneagram consultant, will offer a two-day workshop at Trinity Episcopal Church on the Enneagram, a system that weaves personality with spirituality.  During this workshop, participants will learn:  * An overview of the Enneagram model * Gifts of the nine personality types, and * Challenges & barriers to growth for each type.Enneagram

The usefulness of the Enneagram lies in its ability to clearly identify the motivations beneath behavior.  It brings to consciousness  "why we do what we do".    Insight into the motivation behind our perceptions and actions helps us see a bigger picture; it opens our eyes to alternate ways of interpreting ourselves, others, and the events of our lives.  This understanding can be a powerful tool for personal development and spiritual transformation-a way to "unstick" ourselves from fixed and limiting patterns.

Sandra Smith, M.Div., teaches the Enneagram throughout the southeast to faith communities, businesses, and non-profit organizations as a tool for personal, professional and spiritual growth.  Cost is $160 for the two-day workshop and includes materials and lunches.  Space is limited.  To register or for more information contact Lisa Holden at lholden7234@aol.com or (504) 738-7234.
