Grace Church New Orleans Suspension of Ministry Service to be held January 5thGrace Church NOLA

On Thursday, January 5th, at 6:30 PM Bishop Morris K. Thompson Jr. will celebrate the Eucharist and formally suspend the congregational ministry of Grace Church Canal Street.


This service is open for all to attend; the clergy of the diocese are encouraged to attend but will not vest.
 
Vestry Seminar at St. Martin's with Bishop Thompson on Jan 21st

On Saturday January 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at St. Martin's School in Metairie, we will gather for a time of teaching and conversation. This interaction will be focused on the spiritual aspect of leadership and governance.

The cost will be $10.00 for lunch; a head count in needed by January 5. Please email Agatha Townsend at atownsend@edola.org to let her know how many vestry persons and clergy will be attending so we can plan accordingly.
 
Senior High Rally - January 13-15, at the Solomon Center. Registration is online at www.solomoncenter.org and the cost is $100 per person. We hope to have youth from all over the diocese; please contact Amelia Arthur regarding financial aid, or if you have any other questions.
EDoLA Youth Ministries
Senior High Rally is a great event and this year our theme is "I am the Vine, You are the Branches". We have a great guest musician, Sam Hensley from Roanoke, VA, as well as great talks throughout the weekend.

Integrity New Orleans will meet at 10:30 a.m. - Jan 21 Integrity at Chapel of the Holy Comforter, 2220 Lakeshore Drive, at Elysian Fields.   

Following a brief worship service, discussion will focus on activities for the Diocesan Convention in March and an election of chapter officers.  A report will also be presented on the work of the national Standing Committee on Liturgy and Music regarding liturgical rites for blessings, along with IntegrityUSA's General Convention legislative priorities concerning immigration, bullying, and LGBT inclusion as an evangelism opportunity.

Barbara Crafton seminar, "Encouragement for the Long Haul", on January 14, 2012.  Everyone is invited to hear Barbara Crafton as she speaks on, "offering reasonable encouragement for the long haul in life."  Best of all, there is no cost for the Saturday seminar, except for a $10 lunch.

ChurchWorkWhen submitting photographs, please ensure that they are 300 dpi and that they are at least 3 inches x 3 inches. Photos that are grabbed from the Internet or taken with a cell phone are too small and cannot be used. Submissions must be sent to news@edola.org

All materials submitted will be considered for inclusion. Articles submitted may be included the upcoming issue, or at a later date. Articles used may be condensed at the editors discretion. Included photos may or may not be used due to layout  constraints and overall length of the magazine.
