Annapolis & AA County Conference & Visitors Bureau 26 West Street with Tours of Gott's Court Garage next door
|
We have a busy "Driven To Green" week - as we continue to focus on Greening Annapolis' garages and electric vehicles. Join us Wednesday for Green Drinks at the Conference & Visitors Bureau with tours of Gott's Court Garage, led by Towne Park, as they show off their greening efforts. The Visitors Bureau is also operating under Greening principles. Visit our website for all the details. And here's a deal from Towne Park: For Green Drinks, drive into Gott's Court Garage in a plug-in electric car and your parking is free; drive in a hybrid and two hours of parking is free! As always, there is no RSVP needed and no admission charge. Cash bar featuring sustainable wines from Mills Fine Wines and equally sustainable appetizers from The Wild Orchid. Don't forget your name badges! If you'd like to help us greet new Green Drinkers at the registration table, please let us know. We can't put on these events without your help! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We rolled Green Drinks into an almost-two-week-long series of events focusing on clean transportation specifically Electric Vehicles. We had a very successful showcase of 20 electric cars on City Dock Saturday -- something we will repeat this Sunday, Sept. 23, which is National Plug-In Day. The next event, however, is TONIGHT. Come see "What is the Electric Car?" a documentary that will answer all your questions about this green technology that is here today. It's at 7 p.m. at the Annapolis Maritime Museum. Details. Help us spread the word about this event! Tweet it, Facebook it... tell your friends. Cheers,
Elvia & Lynne
PS - Visit our Facebook page (link at the left, at the top) and share your Green opinions, articles, whatever. Let's make it a community forum.

Festival Greening
If you are planning and outdoor event, make a Green one! Recycle, compost food scraps and leftovers (including crab shells), and save the oyster shells. The baby oyster need them to set on and grow. Contact us if you're interested in contracting with us for help with this.
