"Historic Green"
Tuesday, May 15
5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Charles Carroll House and Garden of Annapolis 107 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis
Green Drinks will showcase Annapolis' historic properties and sustainable steps being taken to preserve them. We'll even take it a step further by encouraging energy audits and other ways these grand old properties can become more energy efficient. May is National Preservation Month and this year's theme is "Discover America's Hidden Gems" so we are partnering with the Historic Preservation Commission and MainStreets Annapolis (MAP), hosted by the Charles Carroll House of Annapolis.
The Annapolis Historic Preservation Commission and the Heritage Commission are planning to recognize stewards of landmark "gems" currently undergoing restoration in Annapolis and Senator John Astle may be in attendance to make the presentation, if the special session at State Cirlce permits. We've invited members of Historic Annapolis to join us too. Be sure to mark your calendars for the annual William Paca Garden Plant Sale this Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m. Garden volunteers raise hundreds of perennials, annuals, woody plants, and vines, both heirloom and brand new introductions. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to help you select the right plants for your garden. Learn more.
eCruisers has been commissioned by the Tri-Rock Triahalon Event on Saturday to provide four vehicles for transfers from Gotts Garage or Knighton Garage to the Paca House and back from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Riders are also welcome to call 443-481-2422 to arrange for a ride from one of the two garages. Thanks to Tri Rock, Land Rover of Annapolis and Team Maryland for their sponsorships!
Be sure to check our website for info about the sustainable food and drink we'll enjoy at Green Drinks, purchased locally, of course!
See you next week, Elvia & Lynne PS - Bring us your corks... your natural, not plastic corks. We'll have a great new recycling collection container for them at Green Drinks.
