Top of the Line
Watch for Upcoming Details We're Returning to the Gardens! Wednesday, March 21
5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Homestead Gardens 743 West Central Avenue, Davidsonville ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We all had a wonderful, interactive evening last Wednesday at the Annapolis Grill as we provided a Green Preview of Annapolis Restaurant Week ... now through Sunday. Just as we were about to sing the Grill's praises for a terrific time and great service, appetizers and drinks ... we learn the sad news that their doors have closed. We were hoping to stir up more business and attention to their sincere hospitality efforts to go Green.
Annapolis Restaurant Week is when we celebrate the great local restaurants along with terrific fixed price lunches and dinners (and some breakfasts) to entice us to eat out. There are 40 restaurants participating in Annapolis Restaurant Week. Of those, nine are City of Annapolis Certified Environmental Stewards. We encourage you to patronize them... and let them know that you're there because of their commitment to sustainability. You can see which are the Stewards on the Restaurant Week website. Just look for the symbol at the right. Also joining us was the Buy Fresh Buy Local program that promotes healthy local eating at home and out and Maryland Green Travel, a voluntary, self-certification program that recognizes tourism businesses committed to improving their operations in order to reduce their environmental impact. Click on the links to learn more about each.
Beyond Restaurant Week: Plates & Perks
Two More Reasons to Eat and Shop Downtown
As an added incentive to return to Annapolis when Restaurant Week is over, the MainStreets Annapolis Partnership (MAP) and the City of Annapolis are teaming up to make it worth their while for Restaurant Week patrons to return in March. Learn all about it by clicking here.

Support Annapolis Green!
Over the past five years we've provided an on-line and in-person way t o distribute local environmental information, make friends and alliances, and exchange views. Your support of our programs tells us that you believe we are providing a valuable service. Changing our status to non-profit allows us to take on projects funded by grants and tax-deductible donations. But in this "formative period," we need your financial support to get established.
