Top of the Line
Don't Miss!
"Light Up Annapolis"
with the Annapolis Business Association this evening!
Loews Annapolis Hotel | 126 West Street
6-10 p.m.
It's not too late to join in tonight! It's a perfect chilly evening to jump-start the holiday season with friends, colleages, neighbors, fellow Annapolis business owners, and the ABA at tonight's "Light Up Annapolis" event!
The purpose is to raise funds to decorate downtown Annapolis beautifully for the holidays. ABA has traditionally been the sole financial support for funding the Holiday decorations and displays around downtown Annapolis.
$75 per person | $500 per table of 8.
This 2nd Annual event includes an evening of sampling from 25 local restaurants, DJ & dancing, photographer, and an optional Champagne raffle to win some "bling" plus two complimentary wine/beer tickets. Cash bar and discounted parking for the evening for attendees courtesy of Loews. Be the first to purchase the Annapolis Christmas ornament -- a collectors' item -- which will also be available at December's Green Drinks.
Bring your employees and best customers! All proceeds benefit ABA's fund for the holiday decorations in downtown Annapolis.
Begin Midnight Madness at Green Drinks! Thursday, Dec. 8
It's too perfect ... join us before you head out to enjoy the season's first Midnight Madness in Downtown Annapolis on Thursday, Dec. 8, with Green Drinks at Historic Inns' Maryland Inn, 16 Church Circle, at the top of Main Street! We're in the middle of it all and in the throws of planning quite an evening! Our course, our theme will be: Drink Local, Eat Local, and Shop Local! It's incredibly important to shop local and support our economy. For every $100 spent at a locally owned business, $45 goes back into the economy. The same $100 spent at a chain store leaves only $14 in the local economy. Click here to learn more. Local businesses: it's part of what makes Annapolis, Annapolis!
We're partnering with the Annapolis Business Association, the Annapolis Sustainable Business Allance, and Landmarks' Great Deals. The eCruisers will be running to
make your shopping even more fun, green and easier.
And, we'll also be having some special guests -- a group of high-powered meeting planners who are beginning their tour of Midnight Madness with us, hosted by the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau. Let's show them how we celebrate the holidays sustainably here in Annapolis!
Thank you to our December event sponsor, Smart Home Services!
Don't forget this Sunday's annual Ladies' Night at K&B True Value, one of our most loyal sponsors. They have literally thousands of environmentally friendly products and they will be glad to tell you all about them. Read more below.
Lastly, we want to congratulate the tuggers at the Maritime Republic of Eastport's Tug of War last Saturday ... not only for their victories, spirit and amazing fundraising, but also for teaming up with Annapolis Green and WasteStrategies with our eco-stations in helping them "go green" during their "Slaughter Across the Water." We and WasteStrategies are so proud of have added Green to the Tug.
Enjoy our town with Light up Annapolis tonight, Winter Walkabout on Maryland Avenue tomorrow and put next Thursday on your calendar to "head West" with our partners from EDC (below) in West Annapolis -- "Seasonal and Sustainable" starring many of our Green Drinkers!
Cheers,
Elvia & Lynne
