Westfield Mall managers were kind enough to let us have exhibits and our registration table on the sidewalk between the two restaurants. Solar company
Seven Seas Energy LLC brought a solar panel and discussed ways this renewable energy can be part of your life -- whether by purchase or lease. Thank you to Teris Pantazes. Alan Cohen of
ATR was there to discuss his company's solar/wind hybrid initiatives and Lynn Gardner of
Clean Currents was there to discuss savings using renewable energy.
Of course, we did our bit by providing recycling bins for you at both locations. Thank you to George Lopez of
The Solar and Wind Expo for being our unofficial "hauler" that night. Unfortunately, the retailers at the Mall are not yet able to recycle, but Mall managers are working on that.
Our friend, Russell Rankin, of
eCruisers LLC ventured out of downtown to hint that his electric vehicles are aiming to be providing their hip, clean and green shuttle service at the Mall soon too! We were very grateful to Chuck Henney from
Rain Barrels of Annapolis for providing us with a big umbrella in that heat!
We must say that we were thrilled that Westfield put our event, complete with our logo, on their big lighted marquis for over a week leading up to our event! That made us feel "big time" as did the fact that we had representatives from Green Drinks Baltimore and Green Drinks
Bethesda with us.
Save the date! Our next Green Drinks will be held on Tuesday, August 23, at the "new"
Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge on West Street in Annapolis. More info to come.
Finally, thank you to our wonderful volunteers, Stephanie Duncan Droxell, Mollie Williams, Cathy Desmond, and Karin Hannah Stern. We can't do this without them!
