more info to come about our event

As we're basking in our memories of a fabulous evening last week on the South River at Historic London Town and Gardens, our next event is just around the corner!  And, we're partnering with our good friends at Chesapeake Regional Tech Council - inviting one and all!.  We have waited till summer to visit Punks so we could take over both inside and out.  Come join us at an amazing spot .... truly feeling as if you've arrived at a backyard grill!

Punk's Backyard GrillŪ was founded on one simple idea: to re-create the classic American backyard cookout-complete with savory homemade food and a friendly, neighborhood atmosphere for today's busy, health-conscious lifestyle. They use only the freshest, highest quality ingredients, and make most everything from scratch. What they don't make in-house they have made and delivered every day from local suppliers and farms.

Cheers!

Thank you, Historic London Town &  Roundz Catering for our June Green Drinks Event!

Historic London Town showed off what the staff is doing to promote Sustainable Landscaping at our June 21st event. We walked through the magnificent gardens and rain ponds and tasted very generous servings of wonderful sustainable nibbles from Roundz Complete Catering & Consulting. Thank you to Chef Zachary Pope!

We were very happy to have brought so many first-time visitors to London Town. London Town is a jewel of Anne Arundel County. Whether you are interested in archaeology, history, horticulture, sustainable gardening, or just enjoy a walk in the woodsy gardens overlooking the South River -- there is something for everyone.

We were very happy to greet the dozen or so exhibitors who gave us information about green products, services, and non-profit initiatives. Thank you to: Maryland Green Registry;

Maryland Master Gardeners; Bay Wise Gardening; Anne Arundel Watershed Stewards Academy; Ciminelli Landscaping;
Buy Fresh, Eat Local; Global Baskets; Rain Barrels of
Annapolis; and Tropic Bay Water Gardens.

Our crowd was enthusiastic. One person even came by kayak! Many took horticulture diirector Nate  Powers' tour of the gardens. He's a font of information. And many Green Drinkers stayed for London Town's Summer Solstice concert featuring the soothing dulcimer of Maggie Sansone and Company. Under the trees, it was a beautiful venue for a concert, which was offered at half-price to Green Drinkers!

About London Town: Owned by Anne Arundel County and operated by the London Town Foundation, the 23-acre museum and park features history, archaeology, and horticulture. Wander the eight-acre Woodland Garden of native plants and exotic species arranged along a one-mile trail before enjoying the seasonal Ornamental Gardens overlooking the South River.

See our website for more about London Town and its Green initiatives.
