June Green Drinks Annapolis

SUSTAINABLE SUMMER SOLSTICE ON THE SOUTH

Sustainable Landscaping is beautiful.

Tuesday, June 21

5:30-7:30 p.m.

Historic London Town and Gardens

839 Londontown Road, Edgewater

Come see what Historic London Town is doing to promote Sustainable Landscaping. Walk through the magnificent gardens and rain ponds and taste great nibbles from Chef Zachary Pope of Roundz Complete Catering & Consulting while enjoying beer and wine.

Chef Zachary will delight us with:
  • Arugula & Shrimp Sea Salt Crisp
  • Avocado & Grapefruit in Endive
  • Southwest Chicken in Mini Pita
  • Spicy Sesame Salmon with Scallions on Cucumber Roundz
  • Toasted Spring Onion Polenta with Roasted Red Pepper Salsa

Then stay for the Summer Solstice concert featuring the soothing dulcimer of Maggie Sansone and company. If the name sounds familiar it's because we enjoyed her music aboard the Richard Lee at our SERC event in April. Maggie and Company will play Celtic harp, fiddle, Irish flute and more. Maggie's music is ancient, infectious and so compelling, it is the perfect for late spring.

Green Drinkers who stay for the concert get $10 off the price of admission, paying only $5! Food, wine and beverages will be available for purchase. The concert begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are sold at the door; kids under 12 admitted free. Directions.

Owned by Anne Arundel County and operated by the London Town Foundation, the 23-acre museum and park features history, archaeology, and horticulture. Explore the Historic Area, which includes the circa 1760 William Brown House, a National Historic Landmark, reconstructed colonial buildings, and an-going archaeological investigation in search of the "lost town" of London. Wander the eight-acre Woodland Garden of native plants and exotic species arranged along a one-mile trail before enjoying  the seasonal Ornamental Gardens overlooking the South River. Directions at our website.

Cheers!
