Top of the Line
THANKS FOR CELEBRATING OUR 5th ANNIVERSARY WITH US!

What a night! We were thrilled to have so many people come to join us at The Rockfish -- the place where it all started in 2006. And we are so proud to be the recipients of citations for our work in the environmental arena from the Mayor of Annapolis, the Anne Arundel County Council, and the four members of the General Assembly from District 30. Read more on our website.
Along with our celebration we made a big announcement: We are filing for non-profit status. This will allow us to secure grants and keep our program of awareness, education, motivation and, oh yes... fun going! Who says caring for the environment can't be fun too?

The Rockfish's Chef Sean prepared a feast for us! The fabulous appetizers just kept coming. Wow! Many of you stayed and took advantage of the Rockfish's 10% off for Green Drinkers special for dinner or chose the Annapolis Restaurant Week menu. We encourage your to continue to patronize our generous hosts. Thank you to Rob and his staff for treating us so well.
Five years ago Green Drinks Annapolis started with just a few folks who were interested in networking events with environmentally minded people. See the first sign-in sheet on our website. Today our gatherings routinely draw 200 people and, along with our website, have provided the community with unbiased information about local environmental issues; knowledge on how to live, work and play in an Earth-friendly manner; promoted buying local and eating organically; encouraged supporting and volunteering with environmental organizations; and letting elected officials know how we feel about local environmental issues.
Through our gatherings we've "practiced what we preached" by supporting the local economy and encouraging area restaurants and other businesses who've hosted us to Go Green. We've held events at over 30 locations throughout the years. To ALL of our supporters, we say a great big THANK YOU!
Click here to see where we've met and what info we've provided over the last five years. The diversity of places and themes is amazing.
Several of you told us great stories about how Green Drinks has affected your life. Read more at left.
Join us in our journey. Let's keep the momentum going!

Your Stories
We heard a few interesting stories about how Green Drinks has affected you: One Green Drinker told us that she read about Anne Arundel County's professional environmental landscaping class series and told her son about it. He enrolled and is now on a completely new career path! Another Green Drinker, Wendy Marxen, said, "I have enjoyed each and every Green Drinks event I have attended. Over the years, through Green Drinks Annapolis, I have made at least 50 new friends and connections that have lead me down new paths that I never anticipated taking. Thank you Elvia and Lynne for organizing these wonderful opportunities to meet area professionals and citizens with a common interest of mindful, eco-friendly business practices. Congratulations on the five-year milestone; may your success and growth continue for the next five!" Two Green Drinkers who had just met found, after about 20 minutes of conversation, that they had first met 16 years ago in Moscow. Yes, in Russia. Small world.
