Tuesday, January 25th at Crush Wine House

5:30 - 8:30 p.m.*

Our first of the year ... and a biggie it could be!

We're inviting our friends attending the 17th Annual Maryland Environment Summit to join us for an After Party! Since we conveniently picked the same day for Green Drinks, we invite everyone to "continue the conversation" a few blocks away at Crush.

*Starting at our usual time of 5:30, we'll extend Green Drinks a bit because we want to encourage all of you to attend the  Summit (5 - 6:30 p.m.) being held just down the road at the Miller Senate Office Building, 11 Bladen Street.

This Annual Summit is when the Maryland environmental advocacy community unveils for state legislators its top three legislative priorities for the 2011 Maryland General Assembly session. Because one of the top three is passing a bill that will allow for offshore wind power in the state, our theme for Green Drinks is alternative energy for your home and business, including wind.

The summit is a great opportunity to connect with other concerned citizens, learn more about wind and other environmental policy issues, and show the legislators who attend that there is broad support for a strong environmental policy agenda in 2011! Then head over to Green Drinks -- just down the street! Read more about the Summit and sign up to attend.

114 West Street

In addition to a fabulous list of organic beverages, our hosts at Crush will surprise us with yet-to-determined sustainable appetizers. Do remember that Crush DOES serve terrific dinners and they will offer us both specials and Green Drinks discounts, so the conversation can go on even longer!

While thrilled at the crowds we attract these days, you all know the challenge of communicating during our good green networking events! Yet, committed to keeping local eco-issues and messaging alive and well, we will continue to use our creativity to figure out the best method. This month when you arrive, we'll give you a rack card with our theme and message to take away. You can read that at your leisure and follow up with more info on our website. Or, read it on the spot and discuss it with other Green Drinkers!

More to come as we structure our evening ... use Facebook or your own network to spread the word about a terrific double-header next Tuesday!

 See you then!

Shop Local, Shop Green

We believe in encouraging businesses to operate in an Earth-friendly way, so we have created your own Green Drinks calling cards that YOU can leave at local businesses to let them know that your patronage is due to their "greenness" or that you won't if they don't make some effort to "green up." You can download them here. Front | Back. These work well with Avery Business Cards #8877.
