Living Local
That is the Wild Orchid's tag line and their commitment

Wow, with Labor Day over let's enjoy Indian Summer! Join us at The Wild Orchid to experience their commitment to sustainable living, not only in their menus but in their authentic lifestyles.

We are looking forward to the terrific appetizers with which Wild Orchid will surprise us, including meat from Roseda Black Angus Farm in Monkton, Md., via My Butcher & More in Annapolis.

Rumor has it that the awesome bar staff at Level is going to join us for a drink competition. Let's taste the Wild Orchid Martini and see if they qualify!

In addition to providing fabulous appetizers and organic wines, The Wild Orchid will offer Green Drinkers a dinner special.

Help Green
the Maryland Seafood Festival

September 10 -12

Sponsorships and Volunteers Still Welcome!

As many of you have heard I jumped on board helping with the sponsorships at this year's 43rd Annual Maryland Seafood Festival! Yet, I had an ulterior motive ... to finally make the festival eco-friendly!

Well, it's happening in this 11th hour. We have set up a green event sponsorship website,  greeneventsmanagement.com, to help us do as much as we can -- eco stations with recycling, grease to biofuel and even pilot composting -- a big step.

Thanks for any last minute sponsors and volunteers!  We already have a few Green Drinkers onboard! I'll bribe you with a pass -- and it should be fun educating the crowd on all we're doing. Come help set the new green pace for festivals in our area! Contact me if you can help.

Lynne

Have you seen The Line?

We've started a new type of email blast that carries lots of local eco news. It will be sent in addition to our Green Drinks emails. If you didn't get a copy in your email you can read it, and all our past emails, right on our website homepage. Have a look!
We Love Our Supporters

What is Green Drinks?

Green Drinks is a monthly get-together that gives the environmentally minded a chance to get to know one another in a fun, informal way facilitating connections and working together for a common cause: The Health of the Chesapeake Bay. We are apart of an amazing international group, greendrinks.org, with over 600 like us all around the world.  Of course, we think our Annapolis crew is the best!  Try visiting other groups while you're on the road.  And, it's truly not about the drinks ... those who don't drink alcoholic beverages are welcome too!
