Tuesday, July 13
5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
St. John's College Boathouse
College Creek at King George Street

Join us for a summer sip along the living shoreline at St. John's Boathouse!

A terrific Green Drinks is planned in a wonderful setting on College Creek. It's the ideal venue to highlight the sustainability practices the College has undertaken, including its very successful shoreline restoration. Read more about the College's many environmental practices.

In addition to our eco-revelry, we'll take a break to hear from our friends at St. John's and learn more about what a difference a living shoreline makes! Hopefully it will be an inspiration to all!
Appetizers for our event will be provided by:

and fine organic wines will be provided by:

Remember Think Globally, Act Locally? We'll have information on both.

Susan Comfort of One Percent for the Planet will talk briefly about how businesses, even small businesses, can do their part by setting aside just 1% of profits for environmental action. Dick Franyo of the Boatyard Bar& Grill does so; maybe you can too. Come hear all about it.

July will also mark increasing our awareness of how important it is for our economy to buy local. This year's Maryland Buy Local Challenge Week runs July 17-25. We'll have the scoop on taking the challenge and how all of us Green Drinkers can get engaged.

Happy 4th! Stay cool and see you soon!

What is Green Drinks?

green drinks annapolis
Green Drinks is a monthly (more or less) get-together that gives the environmentally minded a chance to get to know one another in a fun, informal way facilitating connections and working together for a common cause: The Health of the Chesapeake Bay. We are apart of an amazing international group, greendrinks.org, with over 600 like us all around the world.  Of course, we think our Annapolis crew is the best!  Try visiting other groups while you're on the road.  And, it's truly not about the drinks ... those who don't drink alcoholic beverages are welcome too!
