Thank you to the
... for a terrific evening with picture perfect weather for our "entertaining" Green Drinks with Maryland Life Magazine!
As in every great production, our "stage" came together in the nick of time with flare and panache, thanks to Melissa Huston of Intrigue Design and Decor, a volunteer extraordinaire at the theatre). She transformed the theatre space into a swanky salon, decorated with beautiful "recycled" flowers. When we go to a private site, we too cannot not pull off our events without volunteers. We owe a huge thanks to Dave, Greg Steinbach and Molly, Fred Dersch, Mollie Williams, Leslie Trott, Trish Brewer, Cathie Trogdon, and Linnea Boogades. Our evening was in partnership with Maryland Life Magazine, as we gladly helped them "launch" their May/June issue that contains an article on Green Drinks, "Raise a Glass to Green." Read it. Thank you for the terrific gift basket door prize, which was won by Claudia Donegan.
The folks of the Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre told us about their renovation as they open the 45th season and there are some Green features such as geothermal heating and air conditioning. Don't miss the rest of the theatre's season, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, or Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. We got a taste of Buddy when the actor who will play the title role serenaded us. It's bound to be a great show! Green Drinkers enjoyed delicious appetizers courtesy of Luna Blu, Galway Bay, Harry Browne's, and Federal House. Thank you! Our raffle was amazing: An overnight stay at Loews Annapolis Hotel (Wow!) and $25 gift certificates from Luna Blu and Galway Bay. Luna Blu also offered everyone present a certificate for a complimentary glass of wine with dinner and Harry Browne's offered certificates worth $20 toward two dinner entrees.
By the way, Galway Bay is going to be at both the Chesapeake Green Living Festival this weekend (see below) and the Irish Festival on Maryland Avenue this Sunday!
Several Green Drinkers took advantage of the eCruisers free shuttle to member restaurants where dinner and drink specials were offered, just for us! How do those ecruisers charge up? Read this story to see.

What is Green Drinks?
Green Drinks is a monthly (more or less) get-together that gives the environmentally minded a chance to get to know one another in a fun, informal way facilitating connections and working together for a common cause: The Health of the Chesapeake Bay. We are apart of an amazing international group, greendrinks.org, with over 600 like us all around the world. Of course, we think our Annapolis crew is the best! Try visiting other groups while you're on the road. And, it's truly not about the drinks ... those who don't drink alcoholic beverages are welcome too! | |
