Tuesday, May 11 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Crush Winehouse, 114 West Street,
Annapolis Join us at the beautiful, newly opened Crush Winehouse for a cozy evening of eco-networking and fun. If the weather is good, we'll have some al fresco space too. Brief program - After our big Earth Day event, we are
pleased to offer this more intimate setting. We'll report on our Earth Day initiative... did we break the record? Come and find out. And how did we do on our initiative to support the Chesapeake Clean Water and Ecosystem Restoration Act of 2009? Come and find out.
And you may have heard that Annapolis has begun a business recycling program! That's great news. The City's Cindy Tate will be on hand with a brief explanation. If you have a business in the City you'll want to hear all about it.
About Crush
Crush owners Bob Laggini and Janet Besanceney and their staff will offer us a selection of organic wine from Gemtree, a vineyard that is leading the greening movement in Australia - rather than from the full menu. In addition, they will offer a selection of light appetizers featuring organic cheeses. All of Crush's food is made from the
freshest ingredients, with as much of it as possible being organic. And they DO have a full dinner menu. Special Just for Green Drinkers - Crush will also offer light dinner
options, and just on the evening of our event, creative Chef John Rosa, graduate of Le Cordon Blue Culinary Academy in San Francisco, will offer us two dinner specials: Pan Seared Salmon with Rice Pilaf and Asparagus and a Mushroom Risotto. Stay and enjoy!Raffle - Be sure to enter our raffle fora $25 card for Crush's Enomatic Tasting Experience! Crush is the first wine bar in Annapolis to offer
the Enomatic
server, a unique and affordable way to explore many wines! Read all about it. Crush Winehouse is fashioned after the many traditional wine bars
scattered throughout the Italian countryside, where family owned social
spots serve as the gathering place for local residents and tourists
alike. Crush is the only wine bar in Annapolis offering retail sales
of all of their wines, essentially allowing customers a
'try-before-you-buy' opportunity. So don't worry about finishing a bottle at Crush -- you can take it come.

What is Green Drinks?
Green Drinks is a monthly (more or less) get-together that gives the environmentally minded a chance to get to know one another in a fun, informal way facilitating connections and working together for a common cause: The Health of the Chesapeake Bay. We are apart of an amazing international group, greendrinks.org, with over 600 like us all around the world. Of course, we think our Annapolis crew is the best! Try visiting other groups while you're on the road. And, it's truly not about the drinks ... those who don't drink alcoholic beverages are welcome too! | |
