Annapolis Green
January 5, 2010
A few corrections...
and additional news of interest

We pushed the "send" button just a little too quickly last night. Of course, we meant to say that the next Green Drinks is Tuesday, January 12, not December 12, at the fabulously Green Level: A Small Plates Lounge on West Street. No time travel allowed. Sorry about that.

Also, the Farmers' Market at Westfield, in the Nordstrom Parking lot, first floor, is not every week, but the first and third Sundays, with the next one being January 17. The correct dates are listed on our website calendar.

More events coming up:

The public comment period on the Chesapeake Bay Executive Order draft strategy and revised reports remains open until this Friday, January 8. The draft strategy will evolve through public comments, state consultations and agency revisions before the final strategy is published in May 2010. For more information click here.

This Saturday, January 9, is Whole Foods Annapolis' Third Annual Ecycle Event, in its underground garage, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will accept "anything with a cord, except TVs." Do good for the Earth, clean old stuff out of your house, and get a free Sheryl Crow- designed reusable bag and coffee commuter cup made from recycled plastic from Whole Foods' event partner, the new branch of PNC Bank at the Annapolis Towne Centre at Parole.

First Annual Choose Clean Water Conference, January 10-12, Washington, DC
Several hundred leaders of non-governmental organizations, the philanthropic community, elected officials, federal and state partners and Green industry representatives will come together for three days of discussion about policy strategies to restore the hundreds of streams and rivers that flow into the Chesapeake Bay. Click here for information.

Ok, we're sure we've got the dates right now. Thank you to all of you who called and emailed to point out our mistake. We're glad you're reading our news!
