Naury Joaquin
The Pupae Inside a Blue Closet mixed media, 20" x 16" The Golden Egg (detail), assemblage & mixed media, 36"
Ms.
Joaquin's artwork explores feminism, nostalgia and decadence set in a symbolic
and allegorical scenario in which two worlds collide.: the search for the
past-a kind of incomplete mourning; and bittersweet longing in tandem with the
question of transformation through the ever present passing time. A nostalgic surreal atmosphere is present in
her art work. Her work is grounded in feminine principle-the Mother
Goddess- surrounded by a disturbing and intriguing world in constant change and
transformation. To view more works, please visit naury-artwork.30art.com
