Salvatore Schiciano received his BFA in painting at the Cleveland Institute of Art, and is currently in the graduate program at Penn State. His current conceptual pursuit involves the manipulation of historical references both literally and metaphorically. His current series, "The Iconic Puns" exemplifies these
rearrangements by the imposing of humors counter ideologies onto iconic
historical photographs. Salvatore has exhibited work in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and Massachusetts. He has also curated shows in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florence, Italy.
