Trade Shows Are Worth the Investment By Charles C. Shinn, Jr., PhD
I am sure you are aware the International Builder Show is coming up next month. If you have never been, I would highly recommend going. If you have, and you can take the time, I would say that this might be one of the best years to really get the most out of the show. This is a time I really look forward to because Emma and I get to catch up and check in with all our friends in the industry. It is hard for me to believe, but this will be my 42nd show. I have missed one since I started working in the industry. Why do we continue to go after all these years? I can tell you that Emma and I ask ourselves that question every year. We continue to go because this show is the best way to keep on top of what is happening in the industry. Love them or hate them, I can tell you that trade shows are well worth the investment. With four days of investment you obtain so much during a very concentrated time frame. Below is a short outline of some of the many benefits of attending the IBS.

In fact, by using Bora-Care builders can earn points in many green building programs, such as LEED, NAHB Green & EarthCraft. In addition to Bora-Care, builders can also take advantage of Bora-Care Commercial, a green EPA-registered termiticide applied to steel, wood, concrete and foundation penetrations on commercial structures; and Bora-Care with Mold-Care, which is used in whole house treatments for control of mold.
