|The Sound of Love
In the last installment, we learned a technique for expanding into our Hearts by connecting to Source and filling ourselves with Light and Love.
This technique helps expand your physical capacity for Love and to Love. It raises your vibration, making your own unique Sound clearer and stronger. And, if you listen, you begin to hear your own Heart's Song.
Your Heart's Song sings only to you. It expands you and helps you see the authentic you within; the person who is pure Love and without fear. When this happens, you are all that you are meant to be. You become a magnet that attracts your Heart's desire to you. Everything is right, nothing is wrong. Bliss ensues.
As I was tuning in seeking inspired words to express the magic of our Heart's song, this poem by Mattie J. T. Stepanek appeared in perfect timing. This is from Mattie's book, "Journey Through Heartsongs".
I have a song, deep in my heart,
And only I can hear it.
If I close my eyes and sit very still
It is so easy to listen to my song.
When my eyes are open and
I am so busy and moving and busy,
If I take time and listen very hard,
I can still hear my Heartsong.
It makes me feel happy.
Happier than ever.
Happier than everywhere
And everything and everyone
In the whole wide world.
Happy like thinking about
Going to Heaven when I die.
My Heartsong sounds like this -
I love you! I love you!
How happy you can be!
How happy you can make
This whole world be!
And sometimes it's other
Tunes and words, too,
But it always sings the
Same special feeling to me.
It makes me think of
Jamie, and Katie and Stevie,
And other wonderful things.
This is my special song.
But do you know what?
All people have a special song
Inside their hearts!
Everyone in the whole wide world
Has a special Heartsong.
If you believe in magical, musical hearts,
And if you believe you can be happy,
Then you, too, will hear your song.

I believe! And so it is!
A few days before the Fall Equinox, I traveled back east to Hiram, Maine. I went there to attend a Sweat Lodge* ritual and Pipe Awakening ceremony with my Pipe family. This is an event that occurs each year at the Equinox. It is a perfect time to clean out the old and set in motion what will be created in the coming year. The Fall is a time of purging, harvesting, preparing the soil, and going within. It is a time of dreaming and gestation. A powerful time for the Sweat Lodge.
My intention for the Sweat Lodge was to burn away the dross within me so that I would be deeply cleansed physically, emotionally, and mentally. This was my guidance in preparation for a new Pipe and a new beginning.
There are four "rounds" in the Sweat Lodge and the heat is intense. I crawled, then wobbled out after the third round. My body had had enough. Gentle hands were there to hold me, comfort me, give me water, and care for me. Those hands belonged to a lovely woman named Jennifer who nurtured me as a mother. And, I felt in many ways like a child. I felt new, cleansed, and quiet inside. Like my mind had finally been silenced in a way it had not been before.
I can feel the mind part of me pushing to regain its original foothold in directing my life. It wants to get busy. When I do not comply, it wants me to believe untruths about myself. It wants me to worry. It begins looking for what's wrong so it can fix it and get me back on track. I have no interest in being controlled by my mind. I remain still.
It is unfamiliar to be in this place, just holding. So, I mentioned all of this to my husband, Steve, who is often very wise. "Well, KimE, it is Fall. Everything is waiting," he says simply. WHAT!? "Sure," he says, "I go through it every year at this time. I've finished up most of what I started earlier in the year and I'm not quite ready to start anything new."
And just like that, the lightbulb went on. For the first time since I was a child, I am aware of my connection to the earth through the rhythm of her seasons. What joy! All of nature is holding, just waiting for that magical signal, that little shift in energy that says, "Let go. Drop your leaves and seeds and begin the preparation for winter."
In this stillness, we humans with our clever minds, expansive hearts, keen intuition, and strong desires have the opportunity to decide what seeds we want to drop. It is not random. What we think, feel, and visualize (dream) become the seeds that grow our tomorrow. If we focus on fear and lack, we will create it. If we focus on prosperity, peace, grace, abundance, fulfillment, beauty, and Love, we will create it. With our intention, we create our own reality, our own future. You, wise friends, already know this.
So, now is the time. What do you want to create in the coming year? What are your heart's desires? Simply place your focus on them, see them, feel them, be them, Love them, be joyful with them. Then, like the fuzzy seeds of the dandelion, let them fly...

|Food for Thought
|Being Sorry - The Arcturians as channeled by Kim English
The Arcturians visited the Reiki Healing Circle in September with a powerful message on "being sorry". We did not realize it at the time, but being sorry turned out to be a common theme for all of us. We all use the word freely and without thought. What the Arcturians had to say about it caused us all to examine and recognize our use of the word. Perhaps it will have the same effect on you.
"Take a moment to think about the word "sorry" (words in bold are defined below). Now think about how many times in a day you say, "I'm sorry" or "sorry". You all have a habit of saying you're sorry, for nearly everything. If someone asks you to explain something you've said, you start with "oh, sorry" as if you have caused a grievous miscommunication. If you anticipate someone disagreeing with you, you start your sentence with, "I'm sorry, but..." If you're afraid you have upset someone with what you've said, you immediately say, "I'm sorry."
"You are the sorriest bunch of beings we've ever known. Your purpose is not to run around the planet saying "I'm sorry" for every little thing that occurs. Why would you? Are you responsible for everything that occurs? Are you responsible for what others think, say, or do? Are you responsible for how others interpret your words? Of course not!
"You are only responsible for you and your own actions. So, if you have done something that hurts someone and you're genuinely repentant, then saying "I'm sorry" is appropriate. However, sorry has become an expletive. It is no longer used to express your feelings of remorse. It is a word you throw in a sentence to excuse who you are. You apologize for your feelings, your thoughts, your expression, your body, and your very existance - before you utter a word! It makes you small and keeps you small.
"You are powerful beings; beautiful beings filled with Light and Love. We wish you to know that you have no reason to apologize for who you are at anytime to anyone for any reason. You cannot be in your power if you are always simpering in sorriness."
I can still feel the power in their words. Since this message came through, I have become accutely aware of how unconsciously I apologize - for everything. I wonder... What would happen if we all stood boldly unapologetic in our Truths as powerful, loving beings? What changes could we make in our lives and in the world if we simply stopped apologizing for who we are?
