3rd Annual One Small Step Gala
One Small Step  Gala

One Small Step
is a dinner and dance gala that has been occurring every summer for the past three years. It is a night dedicated to inspiration and freeing ourselves from the notion that we are powerless to change the world. There will be amazing door prizes, great entertainment, fun games, food and dancing of course. We have raised nearly $12,000 to donate to Free the Children's Adopt a Village program and we hope to make it $20,000 this year!

"I Said No" Substance Use Youth Awareness Seminar
I Said No Seminar

Come out to an educational seminar on teaching our youth the dangers of substance abuse and how to take a stand. The first 50 youth to sign up for the seminar will get FREE admission to the film screening. (See details below)

Where: Surrey City Centre Library
Time: Registration 2pm | Seminar 3pm - 5pm

There will also be a film screening of Pseudo-Blood of our Own at 6:30pm at Empire Theatre Guildford.

Pancakes That are Healthy!   

 

Hi folks! I wanted to blog this week about my absolute favourite Sunday morning recipe - Protein pancakes! I have written this recipe years ago here on Wellness Works! but I wanted to give you all a reminder of how quick, easy and absolutely delicious this recipe is!

 

It's as simple as:

  • 1/2 cup Oatmeal (quick oats)
  • 1/2 cup Cottage cheese (1%)
  • 1/2 cup Egg whites
  • 1 pack of Splenda or 1-2 tsp organic cane sugar
  • 1/4 cup ground Flaxseed (optional for more Omega punch!)
