April 4, 2012

EditorialWelcome to this Bindilicious Edition!

I bet you're all gearing up for the long weekend! So am I!  For me, long weekends generally mean having my parents over and enjoying a family meal where I cook an elaborate 3 to 4 course meal. This usually ends up with me experimenting with a new recipe.

Thankfully, I never have to look far for creative insights and inspirations.  Thanks to our fabulous partnership with  Metro Kitchens, I always have a wealth of new recipes to choose from.  So if you want to create something special for your family, check out our wide selection of recipes on Bindilicious

Another foodie event I am looking forward to is the return of the exclusive dinner and theatre package offered by MyBindi.

On April 13, just for that one evening, join us for this 3 course dinner at 5th Elementt Restaurant to be followed by a performance of Anosh Irani's hilarious comedy. "My Granny the Goldfish" at the Factory Theatre.  We're offering a special dinner and theatre package for just $50.  Come out and enjoy a great meal, great laughs and some great company!

Happy Easter to all that celebrate this auspicious day and a very happy long weekend to everyone!

No dearth of Indian foods overseas
South Asian cuisine
Daal makhani in Beijing or chicken tikka in Tanzania - for the desi food lover, international holiday destinations have learnt to add the tadka to woo Indians tourists who love their sabzi-roti quite a bit.

What many Indians miss the most when they're overseas is ghar ka khaana. While many brag about how they had the time of their life, they stock up on mathris, achaar and namkeen to carry along with them on their trip.

And travel agents say that Indians are the most unadventurous when it comes to experimenting with different cuisines.
