| Thank You for Giving to Advance the Common Good in Our Community |
Thanks to your support, United Way raised $11,635,723 to fund partner programs that advance the common good in our community by focusing on Education, Stability and Support.
Our vision for Chattanooga is bold: more children and youth will have the skills they need to succeed; more families will have the ability to lead stable, productive lives; and people in critical need or crisis get the help they need.
Here are a few examples of our impact over the past year:
- United Way's 2-1-1 referred nearly 16,000 callers for help with utilities;
- More than 3,200 callers were referred to VITA sites;
- More than 18,000 children receive a free book each month thanks to Project Ready for School;
- 93% of children screened who completed preschool at a United Way-funded program had the literacy skills necessary to learn to read and write;
- Nearly 6,000 people received instruction to help them better manage their personal finances; and
- 88% of people who entered a United Way-funded emergency shelter program were back on their feet within 45 days with housing and a job.
You can be part of this change - this momentum - by giving, advocating or volunteering. Together, united, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better life for all.
