Caught in the Act!

Creating Campign Fun!

Our Employee Campaign Managers always manage to put their personal creativity and a lot of fun into the corporate campaigns, and we've caught some of you in the act. What are some creative ways you're raising money at your office?  Whether you're holding a Battle of the Bands like Unum, a cake walk like the City of Chattanooga, or a motorbike ride like the Hamilton County employees, tell us about it! Send us your pictures and a description, and we'll feature it in our next ECM newsletter. You can see the campaign pictures we've already collected on Flicker HERE.

LIVE UNITED!

HOW JAMES GOT INVOLVED

Do you know the stories behind our LIVE UNITED campaign? You know, the people featured in our videos and on our posters? Well one of those stories is that of James Kwee, a high school senior who spent a large portion of his time volunteering for several different organizations around town. Whether he was tutoring students at Calvin Donaldson Elementary in reading, helping homeless children at the Room in the Inn shelter, or starting his own nonprofit organization to provide low income children with birthday presents, James does his part to make the world a better place. If you haven't already, you can read his story and see his video here. If you have a Live United story to share or know someone who does, click here or call 423-752-0322.

CANDY BUY BACK!

Local Dentist Dr. Andrew Lunn is offering kids a sweet deal next week - cash for their Halloween candy. He's offering $1 to kids ages 1 to 13 for every pound of unopened candy they bring to his office, up to a 12 pound limit. But this isn't just a treat for kids and their parents. For every pound he collects, he'll give $1 to the United Way campaign. And the candy will be sent to our troops overseas. Click here for more information or call Dr. Lunn's office at 423-553-8858.
