Almost $4 Million Raised
With United Way's second campaign report, we're announcing that we've brought in almost $4 million towards our campaign goal of $11.9 million. We appreciate all your hard work to help us reach this point. Please don't give up - it's not too late to extend or kick-start your campaign. | Who's New - Meet John |
| John McCollum is one of United Way's Loaned Executives working on the 2008 campaign. He works primarily in the North Georgia area where he lives.
 The best things he likes about working as a Loaned Executive are meeting new people and going out to call on campaign accounts.
"The thought that I may in some small capacity be of help," says John, "is what being here is all about."

EMJ
EMJ will play golf for United Way - indoors. On Oct. 29, employees at EMJ will get to play 10 holes of miniature golf, inside their offices throughout the building. At each "green," learning opportunities will be set up where representatives can tell employees about their nonprofit agency's United Way-funded programs. All EMJ employees signed up to play.

How the Smiths Live United
|
The Smith family had financial problems - mom couldn't work due to poor health and dad lost his job because he had no transportation - so they had to file for chapter 13. A United Way-supported emergency assistance program helped them get back on their feet and on the road to economic stability. When we reach a hand out to one, we influence the condition of all.
