Conduct an Educational and Fun Campaign |
|
When people are having fun, they are also more open to what you're telling them! Make sure your campaign activities include a good amount of activities that are fun, but make sure that they're getting the "LIVE UNITED" message, too!
- Put together a mini "Day of Caring" for your company so your co-workers can get up-close to what United Way is doing (call your representative for more info).
- Schedule enough employee group meetings so that all employees will have the opportunity to attend.
- Distribute campaign pledge forms and have a drawing for everyone who returns a pledge card by a deadline date.
- Ask current contributors to increase their gift.
Hold special events for Leadership Giving investors and prospects, like a pancake breakfast or a special luncheon
- Place banners, posters or goal thermometers where they are visible to employees. Update materials periodically to let employees know the distance to go to reach your goal.
- Communicate, Communicate! Utilize your company's primary communication channels (newsletters, web site, intranet, breakroom, etc.). Communicate reasons to give to United Way. Talk about the results of United Way donations. A company pride and support, events, etc..
