Campaign Tips

Building momentum for your campaign

There's an old promotion adage that goes "Tell 'em what you're going to do, do it, then tell them what you did."  That's great advice to help you and your team build and maintain momentum for your employee campaign over time.  Consider these tips to help keep up the campaign momentum in your workplace:

  • Use as many of the United Way branded tools as possible (see Resource CD and your Loaned Executive or staff for supplies) including, posters and other communication tools.
  • Invite a United Way representative or United Way-funded program staff person to speak about what how people's United Way contributions impact our community.  Get them to speak at your company's kickoff or other special events.
  • Use technology like e-mail and voice mail to keep the United Way campaign fresh in everyone's minds.  Post campaign updates on your internet or intranet site.
  • Promote the ease of payroll deduction and the power of investing in the United Way Community Fund.
