| Executive involvment leads to campaign success |
|
One of the first steps to a successful United Way campaign is to get support from the people at the top-your CEO and other key executive leaders. Studies have shown that companies that have active, engaged executives consistently report better campaign results. Consider these strategies to get your CEO involved in your employee campaign:
- Seek your CEO's personal endorsement for the campaign.
- Secure a budget and make sure that time is allocated for campaign related activities.
- Ask your CEO to be visibly engaged in the campaign at an employee kickoff meeting or by participating in a company campaign special event.
- Enlist your CEO to endorse Leadership giving ($1,000 or more) by supporting the organization of a Leadership Campaign and appointing a senior manager to act as the Leadership Giving Chair.
