Kickoff Invitation


Project Ready for School Turns 4!

Celebrate at a Party in the Park on Sunday, Sept. 21 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

Come celebrate Project Ready for School's fourth birthday with the United Way of Greater Chattanooga at a community-wide party on Sunday, September 21. The party will be held at East Lake Park (3108 East 34th Street in Chattanooga, off Dodds Avenue) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This celebration is FREE to the public and everyone is encouraged to join in on the fun. Families that join the party can enjoy the following:

  • Free cake, beverages and healthy snacks;
  • Free book enrollments;
  • Free early learning DVDs;
  • making bubbles with Signal Centers;
  • jumping on the Moonwalk;
  • finger painting with Parents are First Teachers;
  • face painting with the Health Department's TENNder Care program;
  • the Chattanooga Zoo's mobile petting zoo;
  • kid-friendly temporary tattoos and sport games with the YMCA's Henry branch; and
  • MUCH, MUCH MORE!

Pool with a Purpose

SunTrust Bank, Chattanooga Billiard Club and the American Poolplayers Association presents The United Way Pro Am Pocket Billiard Challenge with 8 Time World Champion & Hall of Famer Nick Varner. 
 
The event will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the Chatt. Billiard Club located at 110 Jordan Drive, Chatt., TN. This pool challenge is open to the public at $5 per person or $10 per team. All proceeds will be donated to the United Way of Greater Chattanooga. Call the Chatt. Billiards Club at 423-499-3883 for more details.

BE ON THE LOOKOUT! Campaign Chairman Dan Nausley will send you a weekly collection of tips designed to help you improve your United Way campaign.
United Way's 2-1-1 Needs Volunteers

We need volunteers to: 

  • update a database; 
  • conduct screening followups;
  • make quality control calls 
  • answer 2-1-1 phones during peak hours (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
