---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear youth and parents,
I'm graduating this morning from the Army's Combat Medical Ministry Course here at Fort Sam Houston, and I'll be making the drive back from San Antonio this afternoon. It's a short e-news today, but be sure to read details for our TCU football parking fundraiser tomorrow. We need at least 24 people (ideally more) to cover all the shifts and it's an EARLY kickoff tomorrow, so grab a family member and come out to earn money for camps, trips, and the youth ministry!
Grace and Peace, Russ

TCU football parking fundraiser - earn credit this Saturday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~
Football season is here again, and youth and parents have the opportunity to raise money by parking cars in the church lots for TCU football games. Part of the money raised goes into youth reserve funds, and part goes into the individual accounts of those who work each game to use for camps, retreats, trips, and other church events. This year, each hour is worth $50 per family member who works, and each person can volunteer up to two hours per game. This week's game against Virginia has an 11 a.m. kickoff, so here are the volunteer shifts for the day:
7:00-9:00 a.m. - 10 people (open season lots, then open general parking)
8:30-10:30 a.m. - 10 people (general parking)
9:30-11:30 a.m. - 4 people (control access to season lots)
Each of those shifts needs to be at least half adults. If you have additional questions about this fundraiser, please email Mike Morton at m_morton@sbcglobal.net . If you'd like a great explanation of how the parking fundraiser works this year, click here for a great explanation from Mike Morton.
Sign up for UCC Youth text alerts and stay in the loop! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~
Last year we started testing out a text alert service to send reminders and updates about youth events to parents and youth, and we had lots of great feedback! If you'd like to sign up, it's quick and easy.
1. Compose a text message to 20166 2. In the body of the message, put:
Join *UCCFTW YourFirstName YourLastName
(Example: join *UCCFTW Johnny Exampleton)
3. That's it!
We will automatically add you to the appropriate groups (middle school, high school, even things like mission trips when you register) and you'll get occasional reminders and updates that are relevant to you. Sign up today and stay in the loop!
