Youth Christmas parties this Sunday evening
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Our middle and high school youth will each have Christmas parties this Sunday night, December 18 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Both parties are only four blocks from UCC and will include a "re-gift" exchange - meaning that you wrap or bag a never-used item from your home to exchange (like a present you received and never used, or something you bought that's been sitting around ever since). Here are the other details for each party:
CYF Christmas Party (grades 9-12)
Hosted by the Lanter Family (2624 Boyd Ave.)
All food will be provided (burgers, chili, soup, and desserts)
Prizes for the most festive holiday attire
Chi Rho Christmas Party (grades 6-8)
Hosted by the Ruiz Family (2528 Greene Ave.)
Main course and drinks provided
Bring your favorite holiday treat to share (dessert, appetizer, or side)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  The new Hanging of the Greens shirts were so popular that almost every size was gone by the end of the service. We just received another batch in various sizes (including some kids' sizes in red), and you can reserve one or more shirts in the size you want by clicking here, then pick it up in The Arches Bookstore this Sunday morning. Chi Rho boys collecting winter clothes for Union Gospel Mission
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Chi Rho Boys Sunday School Class need your help! During this Christmas season, our 6th-7th boys have chosen to collect winter clothing on behalf of the Union Gospel Mission. Freezing temperatures are approaching and many women, men, and children are without sufficient clothing to stay warm. You can help by bringing old coats, sweaters, gloves, hats or other winter clothing items that you are not using to the collection point on UCC's 3rd floor. The collection concludes on Sunday, January 15.
